  • 4 ears of corn
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Add a bit of seasoning if desired
  • 1 tsp spray oil 
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley, to garnish 


Mielies (corn) cob is best eaten straight out of the air fryer, and smeared with dollops of butter and parmesan cheese, for a bit of a bite add some chili to the butter.

  • Remove husk and silks from each ear of corn. Rinse and pat dry.
  • Drizzle vegetable oil over corn, or use the spray oil, its much easier.
  • Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Pre-heat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  • Place seasoned corn in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway to the other side
  • Add the butter and you have an amazing dish.
  • Let the mielies cool off somewhat before eating with your hands.
  • The best way to eat it is with your hands holding the mielie at each end.
