Airfryer Corn on the Cob

In South Africa we would  call this "Mielies" on the cob, and we have found apart from "braaiing" doing them in an airfryer is  the best way to cook them taking 10 to 12 minutes from start to finish.

Quick and delicious with a beautiful finish and caramelized crust, no need to wrap in foil

Ingredients

Instructions

  • 4 ears of corn
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Add a bit of seasoning if desired
  • 1 tsp spray oil 
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley, to garnish 


Corn on the Cob
  • Remove husk and silks from each ear of corn. Rinse and pat dry.
  • Drizzle vegetable oil over corn, or use the spray oil, its much easier.
  • Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Pre-heat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  • Place seasoned corn in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway to the other side
  • Add the butter and you have an amazing dish.
  • Let the mielies cool off somewhat before eating with your hands.
  • The best way to eat it is with your hands holding the mielie at each end.
